Your opportunity

As aCarer at Anglicare Sydney,you will provide high-quality, person-centeredcare thatsupports our residents to live with dignity and purpose. You will assist with daily tasks,attending to residents’ physical and emotional wellbeing. Youwill ensure the physical comfort and emotional health of our residents are metand help enhance their independence and quality of life.

With kindness and understanding, you will: 

• Provide personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming,toiletingand feeding

• Support residents with mobility,transfersand other physicalassistance

• Provide companionship and emotional support

• Observe,monitorand accurately document residents’ care and progress

• Follow individual care plans and respond to residents’ needs and preferences

• Escalate changes in a resident’s condition to the Registered Nurse orappropriate leader

• Work collaboratively with nurses, allied healthprofessionalsand other care team members

• Maintain residents’ privacy, dignity,safetyand independence

Whatyou’llbring

You are a kind-hearted,patientand respectful person who is passionate about enhancing the lives of older people. You share our organisational values of integrity, justice,compassionand excellence, and bring them to everything you do.

What’srequired:

•  ACertificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), AgedCareor an equivalent qualification

• Minimumsixmonths’experienceproviding personal carein aged care or a similar healthcare environment

• CurrentNDIS workers screening check clearance.

• Experience using electronic care management or digital documentation systems

• Australian working rightsappropriate tothe position

• Availability towork[insert required shifts, employmenttypeand roster requirements].

What’spreferred:

• Experience working in residential aged care

• Experience supporting people living with dementia

• Experience completing progress notes and following individual care plans

• Experience working collaboratively with Registered Nurses and multidisciplinary care teams

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
