Role: Chiropractor, third chiropractor in an established two-doctor clinic

Purpose of the role

Join a full, established clinic as its third chiropractor and build your own patient base inside it, with two experienced chiropractors in the next rooms.

Dr Ryan Hislop launched this practice in Orange in 2013 and leads the clinic. Dr Shelley McDonald joined in 2024. The clinic has outgrown two chiropractors, and this role exists so the people who want to start care here can get in, and the patients already in care keep being looked after properly.

The clinic

Orange is a regional city of about 40,000 people, three and a half hours from Sydney, with a hospital, a university campus, a food and wine region and a strong sporting and farming community. Patients are families, farmers, tradies, teachers, health workers and retirees, many under care here for years.

The clinic runs on Aligned's wellness-focused corrective care model: a light CBP (Chiropractic BioPhysics) approach using adjustments, mirror image exercises, Denneroll and orthotics, with progress tracked through before-and-after postural changes on X-ray.
Ryan is Managing Partner, and a regular speaker at Australian Chiropractic Association training events. The CA team runs the front desk, scheduling, scans and patient flow. Marketing, HR, operations, phones and training are handled centrally.
Your job is build a patient base.

What you will do

Clinical care. Assess, X-ray, report findings and manage patients on structured corrective care programs. Track progress objectively and communicate it clearly, so patients understand what is changing and why staying in care is worth it.

Build your base. This is not a takeover of someone else's book. You start with the clinic's new patient flow and the overflow two busy chiropractors cannot fit, and you build from there through results and retention. We look for around five good new patients a week per chiropractor and then we keep them.

Work the rhythm. Daily huddle, weekly team meeting, weekly live training, and a monthly 1:1 with your Area Clinical Director built around your scorecard. What matters most is new patients start care, stay under care, and the quality of your communication and clinical work. Targets are set once you are in the clinic.

Be part of Orange. Be visible in the community, support the clinic's local content and screenings, and look after the people who come through the door properly.

Support and pay

The team consists of 2 chiros and a CA. About six months of structured onboarding through the Aligned Mastery System, even for experienced chiropractors, then the weekly two-stream training pulse (Clinical Mastery and Leadership). Access to experienced clinicians across 16 clinics in regional NSW and Victoria.

A real salary with super and paid leave underneath an uncapped performance bonus. The more people you help, the more you earn. Our average chiropractor earns around $135,000 on a four-day week; chiropractors starting out typically earn $95,000 to $112,000 while they build, and experienced chiropractors with full books earn well over $200,000. Regional relocation grants apply to this location.

Who suits this role

• A new graduate who wants structure, or a chiropractor one to three years in who was promised support and patient volume in their first job and did not get it. An experienced chiropractor who wants a full clinic and colleagues rather than a solo book is welcome too.
• Coachable. Takes correction as useful information, not as an attack.
• Retention-minded: gets people better and keeps them in care rather than chasing new patient numbers.
• Genuinely up for living in Orange.
• Sees chiropractic as a long career. The Ascension Pathway (Chiropractor, Clinic Leader, Area Clinical Director) is available, not expected.

Who does not suit this role

• Someone who wants to be left alone. We will hold you accountable, and you should want that.
• Someone who measures success by new patient volume. This clinic is full because patients stay.
• An experienced chiropractor who will not go back through fundamentals.
