About The Role
Monash Health is excited to offer an ongoing Part Time (0.84 EFT - 4 days per week), Portfolio Educator position in our Mental Health Program. This role will be predominantly based at Monash Medical Centre although rotation to all sites is expected. This is a clinical leadership position providing education and training to advance the clinical competency of the staff working within the mental health stream.

Some of your specific accountabilities will include:

Providing contemporary education that promotes best practice standards

Pre-Registration student portfolio

Provides clinical support to staff of all proficiency levels, novice to expert

Demonstrating and promoting best practice standards

Helping to ensure that through a highly skilled and educated workforce, our patients receive safe and high quality care

Working collaboratively with the leadership team including the multi-disciplinary team
-
Working collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop targeted training programs.
This is a part-time, ongoing position, working Monday – Friday, business hours.
About You
You have been developing your education and leadership skills or you are an accomplished clinician; either way, you are ready to take this next step in your Career. You lead by example, thrive working in a dynamic, fast paced environment and are truly passionate about delivering a high standard of evidence based nursing care to all patients.
You also have:

Current Registration with NMBA;

Recent relevant clinical experience in mental health nursing;

Excellent communication skills;
-
A sound understanding of clinical supervision, clinical assessment and advanced clinical practice;

An understanding of different learning and teaching styles;

Experience in clinical education;
-
Completion of or working towards post graduate qualification in mental health nursing and/or education;

Australian working rights

About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate Grade 2 Dietitian to join our Nutrition and Dietetics team, with two opportunities available:
- Dandenong Hospital: Full-time, ongoing
- Monash Medical Centre: Part-time, 0.6 EFT (45.6 hours per fortnight) fixed-term until June 2027
These are great opportunities for a Dietitian looking to broaden their clinical experience while working within a supportive and collaborative team.
You’ll provide high-quality, patient-centred nutrition care across a diverse range of clinical areas, with access to experienced senior clinicians, supervision and ongoing professional development.

About You
To thrive in this role, you will bring the following:

- Demonstrated experience working in an acute care setting with strong clinical reasoning skills, including proficiency in managing patients requiring enteral nutrition
- Confident communication that enhances teamwork
- Experience leading or contributing to innovation through quality improvement or research initiatives
- Experience delivering clinical education to the multidisciplinary team,
- Experience supervising Grade 1 Dietitians and/or Dietetic students
- Demonstrated accountability whilst working autonomously
Mandatory requirements of the role:
- Hold a Dietitians Australia (DA) accredited dietetics degree, or hold a DA mutually recognised dietetics degree from New Zealand, or have passed the Dietetic Skills Recognition (DSR) process
- Eligible for DA membership and Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) status
- Current Drivers Licence

About the Role
Join one of our dynamic Physiotherapy Teams at Dandenong Hospital as a Grade 2 or 3 Allied Health Assistant on a full-time ongoing basis or the Kingston Centre as a Grade 2 Allied Health Assistant in a fixed term basis until May 2027. You'll be able to play an important role in supporting patients across acute, subacute, complex care and surgical services. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing and supportive team where collaboration, learning and professional growth are encouraged. Working alongside Physiotherapists and the broader Allied Health team, you'll help deliver high-quality patient care while making a meaningful difference to patients throughout their recovery. In this role, you'll provide delegated clinical and non-clinical support to Physiotherapists and other Allied Health professionals, including:
- Implementing therapeutic activities for individual patients and group programs under supervision
- Assisting Allied Health professionals in delivering therapy programs

About the Role

Developing and sustaining strong relationships with general practices, primary care networks and community partners to support service access and integration.
Promoting the Mental Health Multidisciplinary Team program and act as a key liaison between WMQ and external stakeholders.
Supporting coordinated, person-centred care by facilitating communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary and primary care teams.
Assisting with care coordination activities to ensure smooth transitions between the program and a participant’s broader care network.
Identifying opportunities to strengthen stakeholder engagement, service accessibility and referral outcomes.

Your Role as Cultural Liaison Officer – Mental Health Multidisciplinary Team
The Cultural Liaison Officer provides culturally safe, community-led support for First Nations, CALD and Pasifika participants within WMQ’s Mental Health Multidisciplinary Team. Working closely with participants, communities, Elders and cultural leaders, the role coordinates cultural support, advocacy and brokerage, strengthens community partnerships, and promotes culturally responsive service delivery across the program.
We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. As cultural leadership, community connection and lived experience are central to this role, preference will be given to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing culturally responsive support, advocacy and brokerage to First Nations, CALD and Pasifika participants, ensuring services reflect individual cultural needs and preferences.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with Elders, cultural leaders, community-controlled organisations and other key stakeholders to strengthen community connections and referral pathways.
Contributing to multidisciplinary assessments, care planning and service delivery to ensure culturally safe, coordinated and person-centred support.
Promoting cultural safety, trauma-informed practice, recovery and inclusion across all participant interactions and service activities.
Supporting the development of cultural capability across the team through knowledge sharing, training, resources and stakeholder engagement.
Ensuring participants and families are actively involved in decisions about their care while maintaining confidentiality, cultural sensitivity and professional standards.
Maintaining accurate records, support quality improvement activities, and ensure compliance with safeguarding, privacy, workplace health and safety and organisational requirements.

The Health Liaison Officer plays a key role in connecting Wesley Mission Queensland’s Mental Health Multidisciplinary Team with general practice and primary care providers. Key responsibilities of this role include:
Building and maintaining effective referral pathways and shared care arrangements with general practitioners, practice managers and primary care stakeholders.
Developing and sustaining strong relationships with general practices, primary care networks and community partners to support service access and integration.
Promoting the Mental Health Multidisciplinary Team program and act as a key liaison between WMQ and external stakeholders.
Supporting coordinated, person-centred care by facilitating communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary and primary care teams.

Ability to deliver presentations and communicate effectively with a range of audiences.

About you
Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy with current Australian Occupational Therapy Registration (AHPRA), and a current unrestricted NSW Class C Driver’s Licence
Post-graduate experience in acute and/or sub-acute hospital settings, with experience working in Aged Care and across other inpatient Acute Care settings
Experience in advanced clinical management, with the ability to apply clinical reasoning skills and independent professional judgement to routine and complex matters
Demonstrated supervision and leadership experience with staff and/or students, together with well-developed communication skills
Demonstrated experience in quality improvement projects and/or research
