About the roleWe are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Dietitian Assistant to join our Nutrition and Dietetics team at Auburn Hospital on a part-time basis. Working under the supervision of Clinical Dietitians, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of high-quality nutrition care to hospital patients and contributing to positive patient outcomes. The role supports patient nutrition screening, menu management, nutrition interventions and communication between patients, dietitians and food service staff.
Tasks may include, but are not limited to:- Assisting patients with menu selection and appropriate food choices.
- Completing nutrition risk screening and referring patients to Dietitians as required.
- Monitoring food and fluid intake and reporting nutrition concerns.
- Liaising with food service staff to ensure appropriate therapeutic diets are provided.
- Using the CBORD Diet Office system to support patient meal management.
- Maintaining patient records, departmental statistics and documentation.
- Assisting with quality improvement activities, resource management and department projects.

- Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate III) in Mental Health, Peer Work, or other health related field as designated by Mind
- Experience and expertise in working directly with people with psychosocial issues, complex needs and with their families and carers
- Experience in assessing need and working collaboratively to plan goal focused recovery using evidence informed approaches and tools to meet participants' needs.
- Awareness and understanding of the NDIS is required
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance and WWCC
- Unrestricted Australian driver's license, and ability to utilise personal vehicle to transport residents as required
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications and ability to perform these duties as required as part of the role

Working across our Campbelltown sites, including Gregory Hills, you'll deliver high-quality imaging across a varied caseload. Your day will include:
- Performing general radiography and CT examinations to a high standard
- Cannulating patients for contrast studies
- Building your skills in complex CT with structured training and support
- Working a rotating Saturday morning shift (8am to 12pm) alongside your weekday roster
- Providing compassionate, patient-centred care across community and clinic settings
- Working closely with radiologists, clinical teams and support staff to keep the day running smoothly
- Maintaining accurate records and upholding radiation safety standards
- Tertiary qualification in Medical Imaging or equivalent
- AHPRA registration as a Radiographer, with a current NSW EPA radiation licence
- Basic CT experience and cannulation capabilities are essential. Complex CT experience is highly regarded but not essential, as full training will be provided
- A current driver's licence and reliable car, as travel to our Gregory Hills site is required

About the role
