This Senior School Psychologist is an identified Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander position within Clinical Practice, Engagement and Wellbeing Support Services. The role provides advanced psychological assessment, intervention, consultation and case management services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people and families across ACT public schools. About the Role

As Course Coordinator you hold the delegated authority for the day-to-day academic operation of the Bachelor of Social Work, working under the Head of School, Social Work, who is IHM's Discipline Lead for the purposes of ASWEAS Standard 8.

You will lead course delivery, unit sequencing and teaching allocation within the approved workload model; lead the assessment and moderation cycle through to the release and ratification of results; sustain the evidence base that ASWEAS accreditation and the Higher Education Standards Framework require; and work with the Field Education Coordinator so that every student's field education placement is safe, high in quality and fully compliant. You will be the first point of academic escalation for students, a visible mentor to academic and sessional staff, and a champion of culturally safe practice.

Above all, you will model Caring with Passion - for the students in your course, for the staff you lead, and for the service users and communities our graduates will go on to serve.

This is a defined, resourced and supported role, not a title attached to an impossible brief. Workload allocation authority sits with the Head of School. We have a exciting, newly created opportunity for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to help shape the future of psychological injury management within Victoria's workers compensation scheme.

As our Principal Psychologist, you'll bring deep clinical expertise in trauma, PTSD and complex psychological injury to help design and embed an innovative psychological injury model that improves outcomes for injured workers, employers and claims teams.

Working closely with senior leaders and industry stakeholders, you'll help build a best-practice framework for managing psychological injury claims, particularly those involving first responders and workers exposed to trauma and cumulative stress.

About you

You are an experienced psychologist with demonstrated experience supporting children, young people and/or families with complex needs.

You work well in multidisciplinary environments and can translate clinical insight into practical guidance for care teams, carers and practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Dementia Support Coach will facilitate on the ground support, implementation of relationship-based support strategies, modelling and coaching with clients, carers and care staff.

• Documented, and billed for, each session through our online participant management system
