This role based at our Caravonica Waters care home location in Cairns will see you working closely with the nursing and resident engagement teams when performing your resident-centric care duties in a timely and compassionate manner surrounded by highly skilled and supportive senior carers and managers. Ideally, you have worked in the Aged Care sector for at least 1 year, communicate effectively, build rapport, and maintain professional relationships with residents and co-workers alike. In addition, you will also

• Current First Aid and CPR certification is essential.
• Understanding of person-centred care principles and their application in lifestyle programs with basic knowledge of the emotional, social, and physical needs of older adults.
• Qualifications across Certificate III Individual Support or Leisure and Lifestyle is applicable for this role is desirable.
• Hold ( or willingness to obtain) the NDIS Workers Screening Clearance as this is essential to work in the Aged Care sector
• Excellent safety awareness to avoid our residents tripping, falling or hurting themselves - you need to be their extra eyes and ears!
• Very positive teamwork attitude, a trusted co-worker, excellent time management (we are a shift driven workplace including handovers) and always follow strict safety procedures to maintain a high standard of workplace safety.
