CCS contributes to community safety by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connect individuals to programs, services and community. CCS manages individuals on court orders, those who have committed serious sex and/or serious violent offences receiving post sentence supervision, and prisoners on parole.

Parole and Specialist Case Managers (PSCMs) deliver high quality case management to a caseload of high priority individuals who have committed violent and sex offences under correctional supervision. PSCMs ensure alignment with best practice initiatives, including strengths based case management and dynamic risk assessment in line with Corrections Victoria's Offender Management Framework.

• Deliver case management to high priority individuals, ensuring the nature of serious offender management aligns with best practice initiatives.

• Demonstrate outstanding service user engagement, including excellent motivational interaction interviewing techniques.

THE ROLETo be an effective Senior Child Protection Practitioner, you will have a strong sense of social justice and understand that families are complex, with their own unique histories. Practice Induction Program (PIP)All new Child Protection practitioners are required to complete mandatory, full-time five-week Practice Induction Program (PIP). This training is designed to provide new employees with the necessary practice of knowledge and skills relating to the role. This is delivered online and in person with attendance in Melbourne required for some week blocks.

This role requires a Working with Children Check.
