About the Role
Dandenong Mobile Support and Treatment Service (DMSTS) based in Dandenong, has an exciting opportunity for an Grade 3 Occupational Therapist to join our team. This is a part time (0.8 EFT, 32 hours per week) ongoing position.
This role will see you lead the delivery of innovative, evidence-based occupational therapy services for adults experiencing complex mental health challenges. This is a community based role, working Monday to Friday (8.30AM to 5PM), providing effective mental health care through both clinic-based appointments and home visits

About You
You’re an experienced Occupational Therapist who is passionate about the role occupation can play in mental health recovery. You enjoy working alongside consumers in their own environments, understanding what matters to them and translating this into practical, meaningful interventions that support independence, participation and recovery.
As a senior clinician, you bring confidence in your clinical practice while remaining curious, reflective and open to new ideas. You’re someone who enjoys sharing your knowledge, supporting others and contributing to the ongoing development of Occupational Therapy within a multidisciplinary mental health team.
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
- Bring strong experience in community mental health and a sound understanding of recovery-oriented, person-centred practice
- Have well-developed assessment, clinical reasoning and therapeutic intervention skills when working with adults experiencing complex mental health challenges
- Are passionate about delivering occupation-focused interventions in real-life environments, including the home, community and vocational settings
- Are confident working autonomously and managing complexity while collaborating closely with the broader multidisciplinary team
- Enjoy providing clinical leadership, sharing your expertise and supporting the development of other clinicians
- Build strong, respectful relationships with consumers, families, carers and external partners, including NDIS providers
- Bring initiative, curiosity and ideas for improving practice and contributing to service development

About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic Grade 2 Occupational Therapists to join the Cranbourne and Pakenham Community Rehabilitation teams! We currently have 2 positions available:
- Cranbourne based: Full Time (1 EFT), Fixed term position until October 2027
- Pakenham based: Full time (1 EFT), Fixed term position until February 2027
You will be working in a variety of specialisms including (but not limited to): Neurological, Orthopaedic, Cardiac, Pulmonary and General Rehabilitation. Working with a diverse range of clients, no two days will be the same! You will work alongside our talented Occupational Therapists as well as the wider interdisciplinary team delivering high quality home and centre-based therapy. About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist Grade 2 to join our team part-time ongoing at Monash Health in a 0.8EFT position. You will be working within the geriatric evaluation and management (GEM) stream to provide meaningful intervention to older frail adults.
You’ll be part of a large, supportive subacute service, delivering high-quality occupational therapy in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. This is an exciting time to work in GEM with several model of care changes that look at making a real impact to the frail older population. This role is fast-paced, rewarding, and integral to delivering exceptional rehabilitation outcomes.
As an Occupational Therapist, you’ll empower patients to engage in meaningful activities and improve their quality of life. Your day will include:
- Conducting occupational assessments
- Collaboratively setting goals with patients and the multidisciplinary team
- Delivering occupation-based interventions that have a real impact
You’ll work closely with allied health, nursing, and medical staff in a supportive environment that encourages shared learning and joint treatment planning. You will have supervision and support to have hands on clinical learning with:
- Grade 2 peers
- Grade 3 occupational therapists
- Clinical educators
- Clinical grade 4 specialists
About you
You’re a compassionate and skilled clinician who thrives in a team environment and is committed to delivering exceptional care. You bring:

- Experience in subacute clinical settings and experience with a neurological caseload desired

About the Department / Program
The Secure Extended Care Unit (SECU) is a 50 bed unit based at Dandenong Hospital that provides medium to long-term inpatient treatment and rehabilitation for people who have continuous and severe symptoms of mental illness. Monash Health SECU accepts people from the catchment areas of; Eastern Health, Peninsula Health, Monash Health and Alfred Health. Our collaborative multi-disciplinary team is made up of; Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Clinical and Neuro Psychologists, Exercise Physiologist, Dietician, Music Therapist, Psychiatrists and Mental Health Nurses. The multi-disciplinary team provide treatment and psychosocial rehabilitation programs optimising individual function, for return to community living. NDIS plays an integral part in providing psychosocial support and care for our consumers and families during their stay supporting community transition.
About the Role
The position provides psychological services to consumers in the Secure Extended Care Unit (SECU). SECU is a 50 bed sub-acute adult psychiatric inpatient unit, based at Dandenong Hospital. The multi-disciplinary SECU team (MDT) provides medium to long-term inpatient treatment and rehabilitation to consumers who have unremitting and severe symptoms of mental illness or disorder, who are unable to be effectively treated in a less restrictive setting and are unable to live independently.
The focus of the position is to provide evidence-based psychological services to consumers of SECU who present with conditions including schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder, personality disorders and co-morbid substance use disorders, cognitive impairment and/or behaviours of concern.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Forensic Court Liaison Officer within the NALHN Forensic Mental Health Service, you will provide specialist mental health assessment and consultation across court and justice settings in Adelaide's northern metro region. This is a fixed-term part-time contract through to 14 March 2027.
- Conduct mental health assessments of individuals appearing before court, providing timely clinical opinion to magistrates and legal stakeholders

The Team
A part-time Diversional Therapy Assistant is required for a fixed term, to support our Latrobe Adult Day Centre team. The Adult Day Centre focuses on working with clients to develop and provide client focused activities, social engagement and bus outings to enhance their wellbeing and social connection as well as supporting carers. You will work with a small team to deliver exceptional experiences for our clients.
The Role
The Adult Day Centres are a service within the Primary Health Team North West, working with clients to identify their needs, develop and provide them with social engagement and support, with a wellness and reablement focus, in a centre environment. Diversional Therapy Assistants contribute to, develop and deliver the Centre program, in collaboration with clients and coordinator, maintain client records, work with clients to develop individual care plans and are expected to abide by the care standards prescribed by Adult Day Centre funding programs.

About the role
- Monday to Friday role, working up to 5 days per week, providing a high-quality Occupational Therapy service to inpatients across St Vincent’s Hospital, including Acute Inpatients, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care, with flexibility to support other clinical areas and participate in a weekend roster as required
- Determine patients’ occupational needs through standardised and functional assessments, designing and implementing patient-centred interventions with a focus on therapy, discharge planning and patient flow

About you
- Current Australian Occupational Therapy Registration (AHPRA) and a hold a current unrestricted NSW Class C Driver’s License
- Previous post-graduate Occupational Therapy experience in acute and sub-acute hospital settings across various clinical areas including neurology, general medicine/surgery, and rehabilitation within a multidisciplinary team context
- Demonstrated experience in clinical management with the ability to apply clinical reasoning skills and independent professional judgment on routine matters
- Demonstrated experience with quality improvement and a commitment to ongoing professional development

As part of a collaborative team that includes Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Exercise Physiologists, Music Therapists, Psychiatrists and Nurses, you will play a pivotal role in delivering dietetic services that support consumers’ recovery and promote reintegration into the community.
You will play an integral role within SECU, providing comprehensive nutrition assessment, intervention and monitoring to support consumers’ physical health, mental wellbeing and recovery goals. This includes completing initial dietetic assessments, developing and reviewing individualised nutrition care plans, and providing ongoing dietetic management for consumers with a range of nutrition-related conditions and concerns. The Dietitian contributes specialist expertise to the multidisciplinary team by participating in clinical reviews, case discussions and care planning, supporting the management of nutrition-related illnesses, monitoring nutritional outcomes, and partnering with Diabetes Educators to ensure consumers with diabetes receive appropriate education and support. Also contributing to the ward’s group program and promotes healthy lifestyle interventions in collaboration with the broader rehabilitation team.

The Secure Extended Care Unit (SECU) is a 50 bed unit based at Dandenong Hospital that provides medium to long-term inpatient treatment and rehabilitation for people who have continuous and severe symptoms of mental illness. Monash Health SECU accepts people from the catchment areas of; Eastern Health, Peninsula Health, Monash Health and Alfred Health. Our collaborative multi-disciplinary team is made up of; Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Clinical and Neuro Psychologists, Exercise Physiologist, Dietician, Music Therapist, Psychiatrists and Mental Health Nurses. The multi-disciplinary team provide treatment and psychosocial rehabilitation programs optimising individual function, for return to community living. About the role
Join the Northern Country CAMHS team as an Occupational Therapist delivering evidence-based mental health services to children and adolescents aged 0–16 years and their families. The role focuses on direct clinical practice, including discipline-specific assessment, clinical formulation and delivery of individual, family and group-based interventions. You will work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team, providing consultation and contributing to joint clinical work, education, and governance processes.
Responsibilities include high-quality clinical documentation, participation in case reviews, service evaluation and quality improvement activities, and promoting culturally safe, person-centred care. You will be supported through multidisciplinary collaboration, line management by the Service Manager, coordination with the Clinical Coordinator, access to clinical supervision, and opportunities for ongoing professional and leadership development.
Essential Qualification:
Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.

Our teams include Clinical Psychologists, Developmental Paediatricians, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Speech Pathologists and other allied health professionals. The Child Development Service provides services at approximately 18 locations across the metropolitan Perth area, as well as providing home, school and community visits as needed.

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?
- Deliver evidence-based assessment, intervention, and support services across mental health settings, tailored to consumer, family, and community needs.
- Provide guidance, supervision, and mentorship to less experienced allied health staff, assistants, and students, promoting safe and effective practice.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and with external service providers to ensure integrated, person-centred care.
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and community programs to enhance mental health outcomes across the region.

WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW/WHAT IS ESSENTIAL FOR SUCCESS?
Working in this environment, it is important to us that we only employ people with the upmost integrity and commitment to serving the South Australian community and its visitors to the highest possible standards. To ensure that we meet that commitment there are a few checks that you will be required to undertake. These are detailed on the Role Description, but are likely to include the following:
- You will need to be immunised. Please contact the Enquiries Person for this position if you have any queries. Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy. Further information is in the application for to help guide you.
- You will need to undergo employment screening, what you require is also on the front page of the Role Description.
- You must hold a recognized qualification within the professions of Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work.
- For Occupational Therapy, you must hold a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and as a regulated profession be eligible for registration as an occupational therapist within Australia.
- For Psychology, you must hold general registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. Clinical endorsement with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or eligible and willing to participate in AHPRA Clinical Psychology Registrar Program is desirable.
- For Social Work, you must hold a recognised qualification within the Social Work profession and be eligible for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Must have participated on ongoing professional development in line with AASW guidelines.
