Move Minds Forward: Senior Exercise Physiologist, SALHN Noarlunga
Step into a senior, high-autonomy clinical role for an experienced practitioner ready to champion the value of exercise physiology within a multidisciplinary mental health setting and translate evidence into lasting, meaningful change for the people who need it most.
About the role:
Reporting to the Allied Health Manager - MHRU, this role is responsible for providing specialist clinical exercise physiology services, leadership and supervision across SALHN Mental Health Rehabilitation Services (MHRS).
Duties for the role will include:
- Commitment to delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the SALHN Integrated Governance Framework and Consumer Engagement Framework and Plan.
- Deliver high quality, Exercise Physiology rehabilitation services and interventions that meet the needs and preferences of consumers, families and carers and align with best practice evidence.
- Collaborating with other team members to initiate, develop, implement, and evaluate therapy/activity groups.
- Review, and make recommendations, develop and implement workflow processes and quality assurance processes to improve practice and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.
- Providing leadership, training, and support across the MH Rehabilitation Stream to support integration of best-practice rehabilitation across the continuum of care.
About you:
- Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification, usually in human movement, inclusive of the exercise physiology elective and eligible for accreditation from Exercise Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
- Demonstrated competence in the application of a wide range of assessment and therapeutic interventions to clients with complex needs, in particular adult consumers with severe mental illness.
- Demonstrated ability to assume responsibility for and the provision of Exercise Physiology services to an area as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Extensive experience in the provision of clinical exercise physiology services to clients within a broad range of illnesses and disabilities.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership within a discrete unit, including program evaluation and service development.

Overview:
The Admin Assistant is accountable to the Nurse Unit Manager – Metropolitan Referral Unit (MRU) in providing administrative support to the Metropolitan Referral Unit Team, including a confidential administrative assistant role to the Program Director – Nursing Director, MRU.
The Admin Assistant will have a very close working relationship with the MRU Clinical team and Business Manager and will be required to liaise with relevant staff and business units on a regular basis.
The Admin Assistant is responsible for:
- Providing an administrative service to the Metropolitan Referral Unit team, internal/ external stakeholders, business units and service providers.
- Assisting with enquiries, including resolving issues, and escalating to the Nurse Unit Manager or relevant area, where necessary.
- Using IT systems to provide timely and accurate processing of data entry and records management.
- Working collaboratively with the MRU team to provide an effective and efficient service.

About The Role
- The role is instrumental in ensuring a smooth delivery of medical consumables for The Mater Hospital Sydney, reporting directly to the supply supervisor.
- Prompt delivery of goods and materials to relevant departments to optimise patient care.

About the role

About the Role:
An opportunity to join a multidisciplinary Community Mental Health Team providing recovery focused care to adult consumers experiencing mental illness. - Senior Clinical Psychologist (P3) or experienced Clinical Psychologist (P2)
- Provide gold standard mental health care, via psychology discipline specific assessments, formulation and treatment.
- Provide evidence based therapeutic support to clients with a range of mental health diagnoses including mood, anxiety, psychosis, trauma and personality disorders.
- Facilitate recovery oriented, psychological therapy specific groups for clients and work with the team to identify clients requiring therapy and support.
- Work alongside another Senior Clinical Psychologist and therapy staff, as a key senior clinical team member within a thriving and collaborative multidisciplinary team.
- Offer consultation, collaborative treatment planning, and workforce learning to a team that is keen to grow and develop.
- Contribute to service development and therapy group development.
- Provide supervision and mentoring to P2 Psychologists, Clinical Psychology Registrars and/or students, as appropriate to grade and supervisor qualification.
- Receive clinical supervision from a Grade 4 or 5 senior clinical psychologist.
- Be part of a consumer-centred recovery-oriented service, which is inclusive of carers and families.
About You:
- Current AHPRA Full Registration as a Psychologist, with a Master’s degree or higher in Clinical Psychology from an accredited program.
- For Grade 2 Clinical Psychologist role: Area of Practice Endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist, or approaching completion of a registrar program working towards same.
- For Grade 3 Senior Clinical Psychologist role: a minimum of 5 years work experience post full registration; Area of Practice Endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist; PBA approved Supervisor status or eligible and willing to work towards same.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to think critically and problem solve effectively.
- Knowledge and experience in different evidence based therapeutic techniques, preferably including CBT, ACT, DBT.
- Relevant training and experience in suicide risk assessment and management, drug and alcohol, and/or personality disorders.
- Knowledge of different referral pathways for clients requiring short- and long-term supports.
- A good working knowledge of the Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Act and relevant legislation.

About the Role - Sonographer (Grade 3)
This position is a staff sonographer position within Monash Health. This person will conduct quality clinical ultrasound examinations. The Sonographer will assist in the education of trainee sonographers, registrars and other appropriate staff. Sonographers are expected to work within the multi-disciplinary team at Monash Health to maintain quality outcomes and efficient workflow.
We are seeking an ultrasound professional who has completed a recognised ultrasound training program and performs high quality ultrasound examinations. This is demonstrated by accurate diagnostic decision making, informed and open liaison with radiologists and sonographers, efficient workflow and patient care. Their ability to show initiative assists the clinical provision of ultrasound within Monash Health. About the Role
We are excited to announce we are seeking applications for a Graduate Exercise Physiologist within the Allied Health Mental Health Graduate Program.
This 12-month position, will include two rotations across a range of mental health areas including child, youth, adult and older adults in both community and inpatient settings. This will assist you in developing fundamental assessment, formulation and treatment skills.

The Mental Health Program serves consumers, their carers and families across the south eastern metropolitan region with bed-based, community and rehabilitation programs. The service covers the age spectrum in its entirety, offering client centred programs for 0-25yo in Infant Child and Youth, and over 18 years for Adult and Older Adult Services. We also provide specialist services for eating disorders, treatment and support for expectant mothers and mothers with new born babies, a gender dysphoria clinic, dual disability services and neuro-developmental assessment team.

About the Role
Older Adult Mental Health offers specialised treatment, care and support to older individuals with intricate and compounded mental health requirements, typically associated with the aging process. The focus of the position is to provide evidence-based neuropsychological services to consumers who are experiencing disturbances in memory, thinking, and behaviour associated either with their primary mental health disorder (e.g. schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, personality disorder, depression, anxiety or Bipolar Affective Disorder) and/or co-existing neurodegenerative condition (such as Alzheimer's Disease, Vascular Dementia and Fronto-temporal dementia). The position also provides support to family and carers for managing behaviours of concern.

About the Role
Join our team as a Food Services Assistant on a part time, ongoing to work at Boollam Boollam Aged care based at Heatherton. In this role, you will be guided under the leadership of the Chef Manager and working with the broader Support Services team.
FSAs play a vital role in providing high-quality meal services to patients and supporting overall patient nutrition and food safety. FSAs are responsible for the preparation and delivery of meals, cleaning of food service areas, all whilst ensuring patient’s dietary needs are met accurately and efficiently. FSAs contribute to patient care by ensuring meals are delivered on time, safely, accurately and with respect.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Delivering and collecting meal trays and Burlodge trolleys to and from service areas
- Regenerating and preparing meals in line with production and clinical needs, including special functions

The Role
Undertaking clinical services through the provision of complex case management, assessment, and individual therapies, including the development and implementation of specialised treatment programs for our new programs in either Youth Mental Health, Youth Forensic Mental Health and/or Out of Home Care.
Working alongside innovative managers, clinical leads and consultant psychiatrists to develop the new mental health services in Tasmania.
Working with an amazing and diverse group of clinicians as part of the collaborative multidisciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required.
Applicants who have undertaken training in relevant and appropriate evidence-based therapeutic interventions that are developmentally appropriate such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Family Therapy and/or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) would be highly regarded.
You will:
- Undertake the delivery of quality care to clients of Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) based on best practice principles and within a collaborative and multi-disciplinary framework.
- Provide a specialist assessment and treatment service to clients of CYMHS and their families or carers.
- Promote community awareness in relation to mental health and acts as a consultant to other agencies with regard to the support and management of clients with mental health needs.
