The Team
The Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) in Tasmania is growing! We are seeking passionate and dedicated clinicians to provide clinical services to children, young people and their families/significant others experiencing complex mental health concerns. These new positions will work alongside existing CYMHS services and have been developed as initiatives under the CYMHS reform program (Youth, Youth Forensic, Out of Home Care). The Allied Health Professional will have a passion for providing a person-centred approach and working within a multidisciplinary team environment.

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, experienced allied health professionals to provide clinical services to children/young people and their families/significant others.
Child and Youth Mental Health Services | Tasmanian Department of Health
The Role
Undertaking clinical services through the provision of complex case management, assessment, and individual therapies, including the development and implementation of specialised treatment programs for our new programs in either Youth Mental Health, Youth Forensic Mental Health and/or Out of Home Care.
Working alongside innovative managers, clinical leads and consultant psychiatrists to develop the new mental health services in Tasmania.
Working with an amazing and diverse group of clinicians as part of the collaborative multidisciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required.
Applicants who have undertaken training in relevant and appropriate evidence-based therapeutic interventions that are developmentally appropriate such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Family Therapy and/or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) would be highly regarded.
You will:
- Undertake the delivery of quality care to clients of Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) based on best practice principles and within a collaborative and multi-disciplinary framework.
- Provide a specialist assessment and treatment service to clients of CYMHS and their families or carers.
- Promote community awareness in relation to mental health and acts as a consultant to other agencies with regard to the support and management of clients with mental health needs.

Salary
$117,272 to $126,182 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

- Please note that access to salaries beyond $123,487 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $1200 per annum, paid on a fortnightly, pro rata basis.

- Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.

- A range of leave entitlements, including study leave and Professional Development Support.

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
- Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or, in the case of self-regulated allied health professions, full membership/eligible for membership with the relevant professional association
- Current Working with Children Registration

- Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in an area relevant to the role
- Postgraduate qualification or working towards a postgraduate qualification relevant to the role
- Current Driver’s Licence

The Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our rotational team, working across three diverse healthcare sites in North West Tasmania. Locations are North West Regional Hospital, Mersey Community Hospital, Devonport Community and Health Services Centre.
As a Rotational Physiotherapist, you will undertake 4-month rotations across key clinical areas, including:
- Outpatient Services
- Medical and ICU Wards
- Surgical Ward
- Inpatient Rehabilitation
You will work closely with experienced physiotherapists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. Each rotation is designed to build clinical confidence, foster professional growth, and support your transition into a well-rounded physiotherapy career.

The Community Forensic Mental Health Service is seeking a dedicated psychologist to join our specialist team providing psychological input to individuals involved in the criminal justice system. In this role, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including for risk (e.g. physical violence, sexual offending, stalking, etc.), psychological functioning, personality, and cognitive abilities.
- Provide court-ordered psychological reports and expert opinions
- Deliver consultation and support to broader multidisciplinary mental health services and justice partners.
- Work collaboratively with a skilled and supportive statewide team.

You will need
We’re looking for a motivated and skilled psychologist who:
- High level demonstrated knowledge of contemporary clinical psychological practice especially as they relate within a forensic setting.
- Has experience in evidence-based risk assessments, working with complex risk presentations, and intervention treatment models with complex populations (e.g., CBT, DBT, Schema, EMDR)
- Holds clinical or forensic endorsement (preferred but not required)
- Has strong assessment, formulation, and report writing skills.
- Enjoys working in multidisciplinary teams and values professional collaboration.
- High level consultation, liaison and negotiation skills including experience in developing collaborative working relationships with other service providers to ensure best client outcome.

About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Grade 3 Social Worker to join Unit 2, Youth Mental Health at Dandenong Hospital in a full-time, ongoing position (1.0 EFT), working Monday to Friday.
Working with young people aged 18–25 experiencing acute and complex mental health concerns, you will provide specialist Social Work assessment, intervention, advocacy and discharge planning. Your work will consider not only a young person's mental health, but the broader social factors that influence their recovery – including family and relationships, housing, safety, financial circumstances, disability, substance use and connection to community supports.
As a senior clinician within the team, you will work autonomously while collaborating closely with young people, families and carers, the multidisciplinary team and community services to support recovery-focused care and safe, sustainable transitions back into the community.
In this role, you will:
- Provide comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment and specialist Social Work intervention for young people with complex needs
- Lead and contribute to complex discharge planning, advocacy and service coordination
- Work collaboratively with families and carers using family-sensitive practice
- Build strong partnerships with services including housing, NDIS, AOD, family violence, Child Protection and other community agencies
- Facilitate family meetings and contribute to the Unit 2 group program
- Provide Social Work expertise and consultation within the multidisciplinary team
- Provide clinical supervision and mentoring to Grade 2 Social Workers and Social Work students, as required
About Infant, Child, Family and Youth Area Mental Health
Infant, Child, Family and Youth Area Mental Health provides a range of mental health services to infants, children, adolescents, youth and their families within the Southern Region.
The organisational and clinical model has been developed to provide mental health care that is flexible and responsive to the individual and developmental needs of the infant to youth populations and their families. As such, this model will support the provision of integrated mental health care for young people, guided by consistent, service-wide protocols and principles of care.
Unit 2 is a specialised 25 bed inpatient unit located at Dandenong Hospital and supports consumers aged 18-25 experiencing mental illness. The unit includes up to eight intensive care area beds and 17 designated low dependency beds, allowing support to varying levels of acuity through comprehensive assessment, treatment, discharge planning, and community engagement.
About You
You are an experienced Social Worker who brings strong clinical judgement, compassion and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people experiencing mental health challenges. You will bring:
- Clinical Social Work experience within mental health, ideally within an inpatient, acute or similarly complex setting
- Strong skills in biopsychosocial assessment, intervention, risk assessment and complex discharge planning
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Confidence navigating complex social systems and advocating for young people and their families
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- An ability to provide clinical guidance, supervision and support to developing Social Workers
- A commitment to reflective practice, evidence-based care and continuous improvement
- An AASW-accredited Bachelor of Social Work or entry-level Master of Social Work qualification, providing eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers

Essential Criteria

About Monash BreastScreen
Monash BreastScreen is the largest Reading and Assessment Service (RAS) in Victoria, providing breast screening, reading and assessment services to approximately 65,000 women each year across Melbourne's southeast and the Mornington Peninsula.
Operating from Moorabbin Hospital, Monash BreastScreen includes eight fixed screening locations and a mobile screening service, delivering accessible, high-quality breast screening services across the region.
As part of Monash Breast Services, Monash BreastScreen plays a vital role in an integrated multidisciplinary model of care, supporting women through every stage of their breast health journey, from screening and assessment through to diagnosis and treatment of both benign breast conditions and breast cancer.

Are you a Mammographic Technologist looking for your next opportunity or are you a Radiographer who is working towards CMP accreditation with ASMIRT. Either way, we’d love to hear from you.
If you are a Radiographer joining our team, we'll provide training and supervisions to support you to attain the Certificate of Mammographic Practice (CMP) from ASMIRT.
Our Mammographic Medical Imaging Technologists provide high-quality mammographic imaging services across our screening sites and assessment clinics. Screening services are delivered at our Moorabbin, Waverley and Casey sites, while assessment clinics are conducted at Moorabbin Hospital.
We operate our service Monday to Saturday, 7.00am to 5.00pm. Our team enjoy working set shifts across designated days and have the opportunity to pick up additional shifts when available.
Our team are assigned to a specific location; however, may occasionally be required to work at other Monash BreastScreen locations to meet business needs. As such, a current Victorian driver’s licence is required.
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, we deliver safe, person-centred care while maintaining excellence in image quality, client experience and compliance with BreastScreen Victoria and Monash Health standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing high-quality screening and assessment mammography, including specialised imaging procedures.
- Delivering professional, compassionate and client-focused care to all women attending the service.
- Maintaining compliance with BreastScreen Victoria protocols, National Accreditation Standards and quality assurance requirements.
- Participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.
- Collaborating with radiologists, clinicians, nurses and allied health professionals as part of a multidisciplinary breast service.
- Supporting safe clinical practice through adherence to radiation safety, infection prevention and workplace safety standards.
- Contributing to the achievement of key performance indicators including PGMI standards, image quality and technical repeat rates.
About You
As a qualified, skilled and compassionate Medical Imaging Professional, or a Radiographer working towards CMP, either way you are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and high-quality mammographic imaging services.

- Current registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPBA).
- A Diagnostic Certificate of Compliance issued by the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT).
- A current Victorian Radiation Use Licence.
- Commitment to ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality mammographic images in line with accreditation standards.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and professional approach to patient care.

Desirable:
- ASMIRT Certificate of Mammographic Practice (CMP).

About the Role
You are an experienced Psychologist who has worked with consumers presenting with disordered eating. You will be trained in CBT-e, DBT. You will have broad experience either within a public or private setting in supporting consumers recovery from a strengths-based model.
Your role will consist of the following requirements:
- Intake, Assessment and diagnostic clarification of consumers referred for the day program and also the Austin Eating Disorders Unit
- Provide DBT based group programs for consumers

About the role
The Orthoptist will join the Ophthalmology team to ensure patients receive high quality ophthalmic care whilst attending the Women and Children’s Health Network. The orthoptist will investigate and manage paediatric ophthalmology and ocular motility conditions and contribute to the effective and efficient running of Ophthalmology outpatient clinics.
Key duties of the role
- Provide effective Orthoptic assessment and management services, including the management of amblyopia, refractive error, strabismus and other Orthoptic conditions, using evidence-based practice
- Liaise with senior staff on complex cases and contribute to contact lens services, administration and departmental teaching
- Support and actively participate in a positive culture and safe work environment within the Ophthalmology department
- Actively participate in SA Health’s Clinical Supervision programme working with your supervisor on a regular basis to further build your knowledge base.
Skills and Experience
- Appropriate degree or Master’s Degree qualification in Orthoptics which entitles registration with the Australian Orthoptic Board (AOB). Eligible for membership of Orthoptics Australia (OA)”

About Us
Monash at Home - Aged and Rehabilitation Care (ARC) is a dynamic service that delivers care to patients within their own home. The team consists of Medical, Nursing, Allied Health, Pharmacy, Psychology and Administration staff. We provide an alternative to inpatient care, providing safe and high quality home based services for individuals with complex medical, functional and cognitive issues, who require comprehensive, medically led multidisciplinary assessment and intervention within the comfort of their own home. We are a 40 bed services that covers the Monash Health catchment. Operating out of two sites, Kingston Centre (Heatherton) and Cranbourne, staff are required to work flexibly across both sites to meet patient needs.
Patients within the service receive daily nursing visits. Medical, allied health, neuropsychology, and pharmacy teams also provide face-to-face or Telehealth consultations, depending on individual needs. In addition, patients have access to 24-hour telephone support.
About You
You’re an Occupational Therapist who is excited by the opportunity to take your skills beyond the traditional hospital setting and support people where it matters most — in their own home.
You’ll enjoy getting to know the person behind the referral, understanding how they live day to day and finding practical, meaningful ways to support their safety, independence and quality of life. You may be early in your Occupational Therapy career, but you’ll bring curiosity, initiative and a genuine willingness to learn and grow.

Nestled within the leafy grounds of the Kingston Centre in Heatherton, the Boollam Boollam Aged Care Centre offers a state-of-the-art, purpose-built centre that is dedicated to comfort, dignity, and excellence in aged care. With 150 beds across four thoughtfully designed floors consisting of 15 bed houses, our modern infrastructure supports a warm, home-like environment—tailored to meet the unique needs of every resident.
The home is supported by a diverse team of nursing professionals including Nursing Coordinators, Nurse Managers, Associate Nurse Managers, Registered Nurses, Graduate Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Healthcare Workers who all work collaboratively with our Nurse Managers and Facility Manager.

We currently have a unique opportunity for an expereinced Health Care Worker to work across 2 of the Wards at Boollam Boollam Aged Care Centre, Heritage Ward and Bayside Ward. This is an ongoing part time (60 hours per fortnight) permanent night duty opportunity on a set shift roster as per below:

As a Health Care Worker, you will play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality, and person-centred care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your role will focus on providing basic personal care, assisting with daily activities, and supporting residents to maintain independence in a safe and inclusive environment.
In this role, you will;
- Deliver high-standard, person-centred care in line with assessed competencies
- Assist residents with personal care and daily living tasks
- Observe and report changes in residents’ condition or incidents to the Nurse in Charge
- Accurately document and communicate care activities
- Adhere to organisational policies, Aged Care Quality Standards, and relevant legislation
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment for residents, visitors, and staff
About You
You are a compassionate, proactive, and dedicated support worker with the skills and empathy to provide exceptional care.
You will possess;
- Valid NDIS Clearance and completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module (essential)
- Valid police check clearance including a renewal every 3 years (essential)
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) (CHC33015) or equivalent (essential)
- Certificate IV in Individual Support (Ageing) (CHC43015) or equivalent (desirable)
- Knowledge of residential aged care practices and accreditation requirements
- Basic clinical understanding and the ability to identify and report clinical concerns
- Excellent time management and systematic work habits
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction
- Resilient, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement
- A problem-solver who acts within role parameters to ensure resident and staff well-being
